He was responsible for all new product development and IT infrastructure at Landmark Information Group Ltd during its period of maximum growth, including the highly regarded Promap® digital mapping web service which won the National Business Awards Best Use of Technology category in 2002. After leading Landmark's new product R&D efforts for a number of years he has returned to software design, exploiting the power of new generation tablets to create exciting new products for commercial clients. Software and data products have always been his main professional interest.

On the way he has run international marketing operations, has provided advice both to the EU and to the UK government, and in 2010 gained a first class degree in Law. Creative and outgoing, he likes to make sure that all the bolts are tightened up before his projects go out the door!

Alex Wild

Alex has a degree in Cognitive Science from Leeds University, where he led projects in evolved neural networks and machine vision, and trained in modern statistical methods of machine learning and textual analysis.

Camera shy Alex has joined Lyndsay-Haines Ltd as an Associate to work on some exciting new projects in Data Mining and Machine Learning.

He has had a lifelong interest in Artificial Intellligence, and has recently been working on a radical new implementation of recursive meta-learning - which means a system which learns about its own behaviour and then modifies itself accordingly. The system has potential applications in data mining, and in predicting market behaviour. He recently demonstrated his work to the world leading Istituto Dalle Molle di Studi sull'Intelligenzia Artificiale (IDSIA) where it was very well received by leading researchers in the field.

Alex brings a whole new range of skills to Lyndsay Haines Ltd, and a highly energetic and innovative approach to his work
